Goodreads' Book Description:Madoc and Fallon. Two estranged teenagers playing games that push the boundaries between love and war…
She’s back. For the two years she’s been away at boarding school, there was no word from her. Back when we lived in the same house, she used to cut me down during the day and then leave her door open for me at night.
I was stupid then, but now I’m ready to beat her at her own game…
I’m back. Two years and I can tell he still wants me, even if he acts like he’s better than me.
But I won’t be scared away. Or pushed down. I’ll call his bluff and fight back. That’s what he wants, right? As long as I keep my guard up, he’ll never know how much he affects me….

Natasha's Experience:The Fall Away Series never fails to test me. I get so conflicted when reading because on one hand, hello bullying is a major no-no for me, but on the other, I’m so far gone for this person that I’m kind of allowing it??? Do you see my dilemma?
BULLY did that to me the entire time and I managed to fall head over heels in love with it. Completely adored every single word that Penelope Douglas put together to form that story.
Now RIVAL? I’m a goner. Utterly lost my mind somewhere between Madoc’s antics and Fallon’s crazy-intense love/hate relationship with him.
The story progresses perfectly and I really liked how the timing wasn’t rushed at all. This really gave me a chance to get connected to Fallon and Madoc and let me feel like I was actually in the book. I loved that Jared and Tate, the two main characters from BULLY, were more than just secondary characters in Madoc and Fallon’s story. They added so much to this book and I loved seeing them from a different POV.
Fallon is incredible. I love her character. She’s strong as hell and fights back just enough. I also love how vulnerable she is and how even she knows her limits and eventually does what’s best for herself.
Madoc pisses me off and I’m probably 110% in love with him. How is that possible? You’ll have to read RIVAL and see for yourself ;)
My heart is already hurting and can’t wait to read FALLING AWAY, the third book in this series. I’ve got to mentally prepare myself for that one, I can tell.
