Release day + review: The Allure of Julian Lefray

Rating: 5 Cups of Coffee
Subject: Justin Timberlake Nudes!

Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.

As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what’s the problem?"

Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.

Lord, help us all...

Natasha’s Experience:

“Ignore the tall, dark, and handsome vibe. Book Boyfriends exist for a reason.”

Meet my new favorite romantic comedy, EVER. R.S. Grey has a killer sense of humor; THE ALLURE OF JULIAN LEFRAY is the perfect example of it. If you're looking for a hilarious and hot summer read, get this one, ASAP.

“Everyone knows that when you’re least looking for love, that’s when it finds you.”

Josephine Keller is from a small town in Texas and moves to NYC, with no job, in the hopes of finding her dream career in fashion. She submits an application to work for Lorena Lefray, an edgy designer who Josephine admires. Turns out her job is to be an executive assistant for Julian Lefray, the silent co-owner (and brother!) of Lorena's fashion company.

“That yearning in my chest? The tight twist of my gut when she was focused on me? Those symptoms held all the makings of my demise if I wasn’t careful.”

Julian Lefray leaves his home in Boston to help his sister out with managing her company. She leaves him in charge to find a new location for their business and he, in turn, hires an exec assistant to help him out. Josephine, one of the funniest fictional characters I know, can't afford to have a crush on her new boss, even if he is insanely gorgeous, smart, successful, and gets her humor.

“His cheekbones were so defined that Webster’s surely had an entry for them.”

I've never laughed so hard reading a book before meeting Josephine & Julian. Together they make quite the hilarious team. Their banter is on point and their sexual tension is off the charts. I loved that Jo was a blogger trying to make it in NYC because it is such a relevant theme to today's world. Being a blogger, I felt like I could completely relate to Jo, minus the fact that she was a really successful fashion blogger.

“I studied her smile as they talked, wondered when it had wound itself so deeply into the very fiber of my happiness. That smile was directly related to me. When Josephine was happy, I was happy.”

Follow Jo and Julian as they become quick friends (and co-workers!) whilst trying to rein in their desires for each other. You're bound to end up in love with Julian (as I am, at the moment!) and laughing your ass off. Grey, you've done it again! I can't boast about this book enough; I love it to pieces! Thank you for an immensely fun and sexy read!

About R.S. Grey

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
