Review: Beautiful by Christina Lauren

Rating: 5 Cups of Coffee
Goodreads Book Description:

A FREE-SPIRITED GIRL IN NEED OF A BREAK.
A MAN WEIGHED DOWN BY RESPONSIBILITY.A ROAD TRIP VACATION WHERE ALL BETS ARE OFF.OH, AND A LOT OF WINE.

After walking in on her boyfriend shagging another girl in their place, Pippa Bay Cox ditches London for the States to go on a drunken road trip with Ruby Miller and some of her Beautiful friends.

Scaling the career ladder is the default way to deal with heartbreak—and to just deal—for Jensen Bergstrom. Absolutely buried by his drive and workload, he rarely takes time for himself. But when his sister Hanna convinces him to join the gang on a two-week wine tour, he has a rare moment of cutting loose. Of course, it’s only once he’s committed that he realizes the strange girl he met briefly on the plane is coming along, too. She might be too much for him…or he might realize his life has become too small and needs her to make it bigger, crazier.

With this circle of friends there’s always something going on: from Chloe and Sara’s unexpected personality swaps to Will’s new domestic side to Bennett’s text message barrage and George’s own happily-ever-after. In short, their adventures in love, friendship, and hilarity are nothing short of Beautiful.

Natasha's Experience:

Say hello to the perfect ending to one of my favorite romance series', ever. This book was beyond beautiful -- it was nostalgic, heartwarming, sizzling hot, and hilarious all at once.

After Pippa finds that her relationship isn't all love and flowers, she escapes the constraints of her life to visit her grandfather and best friends in the states. Luckily, her friends have planned an extravagant wine tour vacation that sounds like the perfect kind of trip to fall into.

"I felt a rebellious pull in my thoughts, knowing this trip was good for me but wanting, somehow, to prove them all wrong. To prove, maybe, that I didn't need more than what I already had to have a happy life. Otherwise, how could I find pride in all that I'd accomplished?"

Jensen, Hanna's brother, who we met in BEAUTIFUL PLAYER, is roped into joining this wine trip because he hasn't taken a vacation in what feels like forever and his friends are desperate to see him let loose and live a little.

"There were no other circumstances under which a man like Jensen would look twice at a woman like me. And even if he had, I wouldn't have had the faintest idea what to do with his attention."

Jensen and Pippa could not be more differentthey are the definition of opposites attracting. Pippa is all about living vibrantly and eccentrically. Jensen prefers a more structured lifestyle; his things belong in their respective boxes and his successes can be directly correlated to the way he approaches everything in life: with determination.

Pippa is a hurricane that disrupts the order in Jensen's lifeshe is beautiful chaos that makes his normal feel bland, his regular feel boring.

"What reverberated between us wasn't a respectful admiration but something with fire and depth, something that would be hard to shake."

A love story about sacrifices and living life at the edge of your comfort zone, BEAUTIFUL is the addictive fall read you’re going to want to reread at least once a year.
